Session Descriptions

Registration and Refreshments: Meet other RB survivors and families as well as get to know your care team on a more personal level while enjoying some refreshments.

Welcome and Introductions: Meet your co-hosts and review the plan for the day.

Keynote Presentation by Jay Kiew: Meet Jay and learn about his experience as a retinoblastoma survivor and explore the dynamics between developing resilience and finding joy.

Keynote Presentation by Mari Somerville: Meet Mari and learn about her research experience in working with youth in co-designing education materials.

Break: Grab a refreshment and take a break while getting to know each other. Take the chance and meet someone new or continue your conversations from the morning.

Multidisciplinary Panel: Ask the Health Professionals about Retinoblastoma: Hear retinoblastoma treatment updates from health professionals and engage in a Q&A session.

Multidisciplinary Panel: Ask the Patient Partners about Patient Engagement: Learn about retinoblastoma research projects that have effectively partnered with patients throughout the research lifecycle and engage in a Q&A session.

Research Workshops: Get hands on experience co-creating retinoblastoma research alongside other health professionals, patients and researchers.
